Wood Badge consists of the Five-day Experience in the outdoors learning leadership skills in order to better serve in Scouting, followed a period of up to 18 months in which each participant works to achieve his/her 5 personal goals developed during the training. Participants register for both parts of this 5-day course - 2 weekends: Part 1, Sept. 10-12, 2021, and Part 2, Sept 25-26, 2021 (rescheduled). Both weekends will be at Camp Tamarancho BSA, located near Fairfax in Marin County.

You can participate in this awesome Two-Weekend Training Course if you are currently registered as an adult Scouter age 18 or older in any BSA unit or council/district position, have completed BSA Youth Protection Training, and have paid the full Wood Badge course fee in full.

Each participant understands that in order to complete the Wood Badge course, he/she must attend the complete schedule of training for all five days.  Failure to attend the entire training for the entire five days will prevent the participant from completing the training and earning recognition.  Refunds will only be granted according to the REC-BSA camp and activity refund policy.

Wood Badge fee must be paid in full by August 12, 2020, or the registrant may forfeit his/her place in this course.  Deadline may change if course fills early.  We encourage units and chartered organizations to assist participants with a portion of the Wood Badge fee (council does not have camperships/scholarships for Wood Badge training).  Any participant who needs financial aid from his/her unit or chartered organization should make his/her minimum deposit of $75.00 to hold a space in the course while striving to secure financial aid.

All participants and staff must have a current (within 12 months of course start date) BSA Annual Health and Medical Record form, including Parts A, B, and C, so be sure to complete your annual medical exam by your health professional with AHMR form no earlier than September 11, 2019.  Link to the current AHMR form (parts A, B, and C) is on the Resources tab and on www.scouting.org
